Lecture´s Description

The meninges are the three layers of connective tissue coverings of the brain and spinal cord. The outermost layer is the dura mater which is further made up of two layers. Arachnoid is the second layer of meninges. Pia matter is the layer of meninges closest to the surface of the brain.
