In this lecture ´´ Diaphragm ´´ is explained. In the start of this lecture, definition of diaphragm and its characteristics are discussed. The educator then focuses on the parts of the diaphragm. The crura of diaphragm and accurate ligaments are also explained in this section. Lastly, the central tendon is demonstrated.
Section two is about “Shape”. In the beginning, shape and levels of the diaphragm are elucidated. Moving onward, the nerve supply of the diaphragm is demonstrated. Next comes the action of the diaphragm. In the end, the blood supply of diaphragm is discussed.
Section three is about ‘’ Function’’. Firstly, the muscle of inspiration is elaborated. After that, the educator talks about the muscle of abdominal straining. The weight lifting muscle is also discussed in this section. In the last part, the educator explains how diaphragm helps in breathing.
Section four is about ‘’ Openings’’. The educator initially focuses on the openings of the diaphragm. The caval and oesophageal openings are also reported in this section. The section ends on the vessels passing through.
Section five is about ‘’ Abnormalities’’. In the start of this section, the concept of hiccup is discussed comprehensively. The educator also gives an overview about the paralysis and penetrating injuries of the diaphragm. In the end of this lecture, the diaphragmatic and congenital herniae are elucidated.
