Lecture´s Description

Introduction
In this lecture ´´Endoplasmic Reticulum´´ is explained. Section one is about ‘‘Introduction’’. Educator starts this section by the explanation of structure. After that function in protein biosynthesis is discussed. Following this, function in lipids biosynthesis is elaborated.


Structural and Functional Diversity
Section two is about ''Structural and Functional Diversity''. In the beginning, educator talks about structural and functional diversity. After that co-translational process is elaborated. This is followed by post-translational process. Likewise, protein import is discussed. Transitional ER is also covered in this part. Later on, ER of hepatocytes are pursued. Furthermore, sequestering Ca²⁺ from cytosol is exhibited. Lastly, microsomes are highlighted by the educator.


Capturing of Proteins
Section three is about ''Capturing of Proteins''. At first, educator tells that ER captures proteins. Then signal sequence strategy of protein sorting is elucidated. Subsequently, information about signal-recognition particle (SRP) is given. Afterwards, educator sheds light on directing ER signal sequence.


Translocation Process
