Lecture´s Description

Later Stages of Secretory Pathway - I
In this lecture ´´Intracellular Secretory Pathway and Endocytosis´´ is explained. Section one is about ´´Later Stages of Secretory Pathway - I´´. This section is initiated by the explanation of role of vesicles coated with clathrin/adapter proteins. The best-characterized vesicles that bud from the trans-Golgi network (TGN). After that pinching off of clathrin vesicles is discussed. Moving onward, protein sorting to lysosomes is reported. Concluding comments are given on lysosomal storage diseases.

Later Stages of Secretory Pathway - II
Section two is about ‘’Later Stages of Secretory Pathway – II’’. Educator started this section by the discussion of protein sorting to regulated secretory vesicles. Then the elucidation of proteolytic processing of proteins is given. At last, detailed explanation continues on polarized cells apical-basolateral sorting signal.

Receptor Mediated Endocytosis and Internalized Proteins - I
Section three is about ‘’Receptor Mediated Endocytosis and Internalized Proteins – I’’. Thorough explanation of sorting signal for endocytosis is given here. This is followed by the role of late endosomes. After that importance of endocytic pathway is delivered. In the last slide degradation in lysosomes is reported by the educator.

Receptor Mediated Endocytosis and Internalized Proteins - II
Section four is about ‘’Receptor Mediated Endocytosis and Internalized Proteins – II’’. In this section educator explained about ‘’retrovirus model’’. This is followed by transcytosis of maternal IgG. Transcytosis is used by some cells in the apical-basolateral sorting of certain membrane proteins.

Synaptic Vesicle Function and Formation
Section five is about ‘’Synaptic Vesicle Function and Formation’’. Earlier in this section educator notify about synaptic vesicles loaded with neurotransmitter. Then transcytosis of maternal IgG is discussed. After that information about fusion of synaptic vesicles with the plasma membrane is given. Lastly, recycling of synaptic vesicles is discussed.
