Lecture´s Description

Overview
In this lecture ´´Introduction to Immunology´´ is explained. Section one is about ´´Overview´´. Earlier in this section educator introduces immunology. In the next slide immunity is pursued. Moving onward antigens and antibodies are discussed. After that types of antigens are illustrated. In the last slide structure of antibodies is described.

Innate Immunity
Section two is about ‘’Innate Immunity’’. Educator tells that innate immunity comprises all elements with which we are born. Next is the components of the immune system. After that anatomical barriers in innate immunity are discussed in detail. This is followed by cellular components of innate immunity.

Acquired Immunity
Section three is about ‘’Acquired Immunity’’. In the very slide introduction is given on acquired/adaptive immunity. In the next slide humoral and cellular immunity is illustrated. Afterwards humoral immunity is explained in detail. This is followed by detailed discussion of cellular immunity.

Active Immunity
Section four is about ‘’Active Immunity’’. Initially educator gives an overview of active immunity. Next, natural active immunity is discussed. After that artificial active immunity is pursued. At the end types of vaccines are covered.

Passive Immunity
Section five is about ‘’passive immunity’’. Educator tells that recipient's immune system plays no active role in passive immunity. Natural passive immunity is discussed in the next slide. After that artificial passive immunity comes under consideration. Finally, comparative explanation is given by the educator on active and passive immunity.
