Theories of Motivation
Section two is about ‘’Theories of Motivation’’. Initially, instinct theory of motivation is described. This is followed by incentive theory of motivation. After that educator tells about operant conditioning. Subsequently, drive theory of motivation is explained. Then arousal theory of motivation comes under consideration. Moving onward discussion continues on humanistic theory of motivation. Next is the Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. Concluding this section expectancy theory of motivation is highlighted. Finally, Key Elements are explained.
Section three is about ‘’Eating Behaviour’’. In the very first slide hunger is discussed. Next, biological factors are focused. After that genetic differences among individuals are discussed. Then basal metabolic rate is reported. Moreover, brain is discussed briefly. The digestive system is also explained. Then hormones are highlighted i.e. insulin and leptin. At the end environmental factors are focused.
Section four is about ‘’Sexual Drive’’. Educator started this section by the explanation of sexual behaviour. Next, Kinsey’s studies are highlighted. After that Masters and Johnson’s studies are reported. Then the explanation of sexual response cycle is given. This is followed by the discussion of role of testosterone. In the next slide psychological factors in sexual motivation are pursued. Moving onward cultural context is emphasized. Sex and the brain is also discussed here. Educator explains gender differences in sexual behaviour in detail. Next, evolutionary explanations are given. Additionally, partners choice, sexual orientation, and possible biological factors are reported. Then information about prenatal factors and brain differences is revealed. This is followed by the explanation of environmental factors.
Section five is about ‘’Achievement’’. Educator’s prime focus is the elucidation of achievement. In the next slide personality factors are discussed. After that information on self-fulfilling prophecies is delivered. Then situational factors are explained. This is followed by the illustration of incentives and control. Educator also tells that high achievers prefer moderately difficult tasks. Next focus is on power of goals and it is explained in detail. Finally, conclusion is drawn.
