Calcium and Phosphate in Body
In this lecture ´´Regulation of Calcium and Phosphate´´ are explained. Section one is about ´´Calcium and Phosphate in Body´´. Initially, an overview of calcium and phosphate in body. After that calcium in plasma and interstitial fluid is elaborated. Following this, inorganic phosphate in extracellular fluids is explained. Then physiological effects of Ca and PO4 concentrations are reported. Moving onward, effect on nervous system and muscle activity is discussed. Subsequently, elucidation of absorption and excretion of Ca and PO4 is given. Later on, renal excretion of calcium and phosphate is pursued. Then bone and its relation to extracellular Ca and phosphate is highlighted. Alongside, bone salts are discussed. Educator also focuses tensile and compressional strength of bone. Afterwards, light is shed on precipitation and absorption of Ca and PO4 in bone. Moving onward, calcification comes under consideration.
