In this lecture ´´Eustachian Tube and Disorders´´ are explained. Section one is about ´´Normal Functions´´. Earlier in this section, eustachian tube is elaborated. After that difference between infant and adult eustachian tube is discussed. Then normal functions are reported which include clearance of middle ear secretions.
Section two is about ''Function Tests''. In the beginning, Valsalva test is pursued. Then Politzer test is explained. This is followed by catheterization. Educator also gives information about Toynbee’s test. In the end, tympanometry is elaborated.
Other Function Tests
Section three is about ''Other Function Tests''. Primarily, radiological test is discussed. In this test, a radio-opaque dye, e.g. hypaque or lipoidal is instilled into the middle ear through a pre-existing perforation. After that saccharine or methylene blue test is explained. Likewise, educator elaborates sonotubometry in this part.
Disorders of Eustachian Tube
Section four is about ''Disorders of Eustachian Tube''. Educator begins by telling about tubal blockadge. Then causes of eustachian tube obstruction are reported. Furthermore, adenoids and eustachian tube functions are elucidated. Cleft palate and tubal function are discussed later on. This is followed by explanation of down syndrome and tubal function. At last, barotrauma is pursued.

Section five is about ''Retraction Pockets and Patulous''. Firstly, educator talks about retraction pockets and eustachian tube. Then patulous eustachian tube is elaborated. Lastly, educator sheds light on examination of eustachian tube.
