Lecture´s Description
Bones
In this lecture ´´Hip Joint´´ is explained. Section one is about ‘‘Bones’’. Initially, educator explains bones and landmarks of hip joint. After that ilium is discussed. Then ischium is pursued. This is followed by pubis. Subsequently, bony landmarks are highlighted. Next, femur is focused.
Structure
Section two is about ''Structure''. Earlier in this section, educator talks about hip joint structure. Then the acetabulum is elaborated. Following this, the acetabular labrum is discussed. Afterwards, hip joint capsule comes under consideration. In the end of this part, femoral head is pursued.
Movements: Nerve and Blood Supply
Section three is about ''Movements: Nerve and Blood Supply''. Educator begins by explaining blood supply of hip joint. After that nerve supply of hip joint is elucidated. Then hip joint ROM is comprehensively elaborated. Furthermore, muscles acting on the hip joint are discussed.
Ligaments
Section four is about ''Ligaments''. Educator's prime focus is on hip joint ligaments. Then discussion continues on iliofemoral ligament (ligament of bigelow). Following this, pubofemoral ligament is highlighted. Subsequently, information is delivered about ischiofemoral ligament. Later on, ligamentum teres is elaborated. Transverse acetabular ligament is also covered in this part.
Angles
Section five is about ''Angles''. In the beginning, angles of hip are highlighted. Educator gives information about center edge angle. After that acetabular anteversion is focused. Likewise, angle of inclination is discussed. In the end, angle of torsion is pursued.
